Printing Directions

  1. There are 2 color spaces. The first is sRGB and is used for screens etc and social media. If you use this space the color gamut is much smaller than Adobe 1998. If you want to print your image then the process starts with your camera. Set your camera to RAW.
  2. Ensure your camera is in the Adobe 1998 color space from the get go. That way this color profile will be used throughout the process onto print.
  3. If you are sending the image to me you have 2 choices.
  4. Take your image using RAW then process the image in the Adobe 1998 color space then save as a tiff or best quality jpg and transfer to me OR…
  5. Take your image using RAW send to me and I will do the rest.
  6. In either case do not crop your image. I will crop it to the size you need.
  7. Tell me what size of the print you would like and the paper type you would like.
  8. Also tell me if you want it cut to the exact size or want a border around the image and what size border?
  9. I will then send it back for approval before printing.
  10. Before submitting photos either online or for print please ensure the files you submit have the file name formatted like this mark_osborne_cliffside or for a series mark_osborne_series_1 etc. This way we know who’s photo it is etc. Preferred photo file size to be more than 400K but less than 800K.
