Every December the Dundas Photography Initiative runs ‘Help-Portrait’ events, as part of an international movement. We create studio-quality photos of individuals and families who cannot afford to visit a professional photographer for such services.
Dundas Museum and Archives donates the space and the DPI sets up two studio spaces with lighting. Individual and family portraits are taken. The DPI prints and delivers the photos for free. We receive generous donations and services from individuals and other community organizations to fund this endeavour.
Group members also have an opportunity to use equipment and practice portrait photography.
